4T Design and Design History Society, which started as an informal platform in 2004 and officially founded in 2014 in İzmir, aims to foster dialogue and collaboration between design disciplines, promote the value of design, and encourage design research. Throughout its 18-year history, it organized 13 symposiums, with a wide range of themes on design history including daily life, identity, technology, digital museum, gender, resistance, ethics, authority, etc. The aim of this round-table panel is to examine latest debates on design history in Turkey through revisiting the outcomes and discussions peculiar to these symposiums, with distinguished Turkish design historians and scholars from various design disciplines.
